Hi, I’m Cheryl.
I have worked in education for over 15 years, covering various roles as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, Year 1, 3 and 4 class teacher and cover teacher. Over the past five years, I have also offered tuition to children after school and weekends, giving me extensive experience adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs.
I currently work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and Cover Supervisor, bringing up-to-date classroom experience into every session. I also have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and I am fully Phonics trained, enabling me to provide tailored support to all children in Reading, Writing, and Maths.
I recognise that many children often come to tutoring at the end of a long school day, and I am always mindful of this. My lessons are designed to be enjoyable and engaging, while still maintaining clear expectations and supporting their progress in a way that feels achievable and encouraging.
I am particularly proud to have received an Achievement Award in a previous school - a national award that recognises outstanding dedication, impact, and excellence in education, celebrating staff who go above and beyond in their roles.
I would love to support your child on their learning journey - please don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out more.
